I have a degree in English and German studies and a PhD in Education. I started my teaching career in the field of foreign language education (English, Catalan and Spanish) and taught at language schools, high schools, prisons and Catalan universities.
I am currently working at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as a lecturer, researcher and Secretary of the Department of Language and Literature Education and Social Science Education. I train in-service and pre-service teachers, design materials and curricula, and conduct research projects. I am a founding member of the Research Centre for Plurilingual Interaction & Education (GREIP) and the International Association Éducation et Diversité Linguistique et Culturelle (EDiLiC). My research interests revolved around areas such as CA-for-SLA, task-based learning, project-based learning, technology enhanced learning, language awareness and language education in multilingual milieus.
I have carried out advisory tasks for the Ministry of Education and Higher education of the government of Andorra and I am a team member of a project supported by the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe entitled Integrated Didactics: A toolkit for implementing integrated didactics in language education.
I regularly collaborate on social projects lead by Fundació Autònoma Solidària and I currently co-lead the team A + Project , a task commissioned by the Institute of Educational Sciences of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2017.
