Maria Mont and myself attended 6th International Conference on New Trends in English Language Teaching and Testing held in Istanbul on September 8th, 2018. Our paper, 21st Century Teachers and the Importance of Experiencing Innovation during School Internships, reviewed the main findings of one of our research projects (reference number 2015 ARMIF 00010) and invited the audience to explore the process of designing project-based language learning proposals and to reflect upon the need to get trainees and their practicum tutors to work collaboratively to guarantee success in “learning by doing”.
